Hallo all!
We've had a crazy busy couple of weeks at Popcorn refitting the shop so we figured we'd better check in with an update on our team activities in the meanwhile!
As you may well have seen over at the facebook page, Binks, Stevie Donaldson and I along with regular Northallerton heads Curt Carlton and Jack Powell invaded Bedale recently for a shoot with Stevie and Binks. Binks had spotted a roof he wanted to attempt a drop from, but decided against it having arrived - maybe next time! Stevie was straight off it, however, four times in fact! Some serious height on it, and the pics are on facebook and in his gallery. He didn't quite stick the landing before his heel forced him to give it up for the evening, but we'll be back soon to finish the job!
Coming up this weekend we've got Blythe heading along to the House Comp in Sheffield with former Popcorn rider Richie Mann and shop friend Danny Jones of Dissent and DC. I've also heard rumblings from Chris Ho that he intends to drag other team riders along to the Game of Skate comp at Xscape in Castleford - be sure to check either of those out if you're near enough!
I'll leave you with this - it's a shot of Danny riding a Popcorn Denton Rasta board over at Hairy Bobs in Scarbrough from earlier this evening!

Sunday turned into a long ass day for the Popcorn crew as we went down en masse to the London Edge/Ledge trade show to take part in the Ledge Shop Skate Comp!
Travelling for the team were Blythe, Chris Ho, Stevie Donaldson and new boy George Redhead. Chris swiftly decided he'd rather drive than risk being my passenger (thanks Chris!), but our progress was hindered slightly by Blythe's bine-obsession ('wouldn't mind a bine..', 'SHUT UP BLYTHE!') and Stevie D's apparent medical requirement to visit McDonalds at least three times a day!
I jest, we made good time and upon arriving at about 11am we must have been amongst the first teams to arrive, as we were straight onto the course and the run was scheduled for 12:30pm. The lads certainly represented well on an original if slightly cramped and obviously unfamiliar course, with a big nod going to George in particular. We're pretty sure we didn't win - we had to leave long before the results were announced - but big thanks to Niall and the lads at Kings Ramps anyway for having us!
The plan following this was to check out some London spots, with Mile End and South Bank being mooted. The weather was against us, however, and on a whim we headed up to the new XC facility in Hemel Hempsted.
The lads have seen their share of indoor parks in their time, but this has to be one of the most impressive! The Sat Nav had taken us to the nearby Snow Centre first, and the general consensus was it was 'too posh to be a skatepark'. Imagine our surprise arriving at an even more swish looking facility 5 minutes later!
Once inside the facility didn't disappoint, Blythe and Stevie D taking immediately to the bowl, Chris' FS Flips and George ripping the Mini Ramp a new one being particular highlights. We've got a whole bunch of pics that'll be in the galleries in the next few days, both from myself and local Dave Boyle, who took some incredible pics of the lads on the night. Cheers Dave!! A quick hello to Nick from Death who we also bumped into on the evening.
More coming soon including news on this week's team shoots!

Hello all!
Hope you're liking the new blog! I'd love to spend some more time telling you all about what's been going down recently - we've been extremely active filming and shooting photos with the hugely talented Richard Leng - but it'll have to wait until the new week unfortunately as we've got a road trip tomorrow!
It's all good though, as we're heading down to the Ledge Trade Show where Popcorn Team Riders will be competing in a Shop based competition hosted by King Ramps. Blythe, Chris Ho, new boy George Redhead and Stevie D are travelling to represent Popcorn, so watch out for news and pics!
Also watch out for updates. We've still got to collect more media before we can add profiles for the rest of the team, and we'll be sure to update you all when they're ready. We're also hard at work at online video parts for the newer guys on the team, so don't worry if their sections look sparse at the moment, this is just the beginning!

Hello! The eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed our blog entries had slowed down in recent times to a halt and the link to the blog itself on the site mysteriously stopped working a few days ago. Well, we're back, and we've made improvements!
We've decided, in short, to use this part of the website to really highlight our skate team. Popcorn has a hugely active team of riders and we want to have a place to share news on those riders as well as media such as photos and, for the first time, parts from The Popcorn Video (2010) online, free to watch!
We'll be back frequently with updates. We've still got riders to add, so don't worry, the likes of Cainan, George and Binks haven't gone anywhere, we're just still collecting their info for their sections. Check back frequently for updates!
